The Statistics Division (SD) is a division of the Department of Economic
and Social Affairs (DESA). Under the overall guidance of the
Under-Secretary-General (USG) and in cooperation with the Assistant
Secretary-General (ASG) for Policy Coordination, and within delegated
authority, the Director of SD is responsible for the planning and
implementation of the work programme of the Division.
