	Seminar on geospatial information, ecological environment and 
	sustainable developments 
		15-16 December 2019, Deqing, China
		
		 The concept of sustainable development has been more deeply rooted in 
		our minds than ever before. In recent years, the protection and 
		restoration of ecological environment have been raised to an 
		unprecedented level and Rural Revitalization has become one of the 
		country’s most important strategies in China. As a matter of fact, 
		remarkable achievements regarding to geospatial information, ecological 
		environment and sustainable developments have been made in Deqing, 
		China. In November 2018, the first UN’s World Geospatial Information 
		Congress (UNWGIC) with the theme of “the Geospatial for a better world” 
		was successfully held in Deqing, more than 1300 participants from all 
		over the world attended this grand gathering. The Deqing Sample on the 
		Implementation of the UN’s 2030 agenda for sustainable development was 
		released during the Congress. This May, four submitted cases related 
		with the county’s reforms and innovation in the areas of agriculture, 
		environmental protection and rural governance, etc., in response to the 
		UN’s call for success stories and lessons were listed as good cases in 
		the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs.

		In order to share knowledge and information, and to promote 
		international collaboration and mutual progress, the seminar on 
		Geospatial Information, ecological environment and Sustainable 
		developments was successfully held on 15th -16th December 2019 in 
		Deqing. Around 40 distinguished experts from Czech, Slovakia, India and 
		the local government, companies, universities as well as associations 
		and societies of China participated in the seminar. Eight officials and 
		experts shared their achievements in geospatial Information, ecological 
		environment and Sustainable developments respectively.
		During the seminar, Prof. Milan Konečný(from Czech 
		Republic),Prof. László 
		Miklós(from Slovakia)and Prof. Prithvish Nag(from India)were conferred 
		with the honor of Academician of Home to the Zhejiang Academicians in 
		Moganshan.As the side-activities of the seminar, the experts also 
		visited Deqing International Conference Center where UNWGIC held last 
		November, Home of Zhejiang Academicians located in J. Lalli Narada 
		Resort Moganshan and the Geographic Information Museum of Deqing.
